How to Apply:
High school seniors interested in VIP must apply to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi via the regular freshman admissions process (http://admissions.tamucc.edu/freshman/).
Participants in VIP are selected by the Office of Recruitment & Admissions. Program criteria is as follows: ACT score of 17-18 or SAT score of 850-940. Fall 2020 applicants must have zero earned college-level coursework. There is no way to apply directly to the VIP Program.
If selected to participate in the program, the Terms & Conditions Agreement must be returned to the Office of Recruitment & Admissions by June 1, 2020. Admission to the VIP Program is only for the fall term.
The basic requirements of VIP include completion of two or more semesters in the VIP program and maintaining a 2.0 GPA at both institutions. Students who complete the academic requirements transition into degree-granting majors through a Change of Major Form, but entering students are not guaranteed entry to a particular college or major in advance. Entry into certain academic majors is competitive based on criteria such as grade point average and prerequisite course completion.
