About the Office of Recruitment and Admissions
The road to the Island University and a prospective student's initiation into the "Islander tribe" begins with the Office of Recruitment and Admissions. In collaboration with the Office of Recruitment & New Student Programs and the Office of Financial Assistance, Admissions serves to support the strategic recruitment and retention efforts of the University.
As the official gatekeepers of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Admissions is responsible for the collection, evaluation, and analysis of all academic credentials and supporting documentation utilized in determining admission eligibility and residency classification for fee payment purposes. High school and college transcripts, GED scores, standardized test scores (Advance Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and dual enrollment credit), foreign academic credentials, military transcripts, student resumes, personal statements and letters of recommendation are all collected, evaluated, and analyzed by Admissions personnel.
