
How to Apply:
High school seniors interested in VIP must apply to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi via the regular freshman admissions process (http://admissions.tamucc.edu/freshman/).
Selection:
Participants in VIP are selected by the Office of Recruitment & Admissions. Program criteria is as follows: ACT score of 17-18 or SAT score of 850-940. Fall 2020 applicants must have zero earned college-level coursework. There is no way to apply directly to the VIP Program.
If selected to participate in the program, the Terms & Conditions Agreement must be returned to the Office of Recruitment & Admissions by June 1, 2020. Admission to the VIP Program is only for the fall term.
Program Requirements:
The basic requirements of VIP include completion of two or more semesters in the VIP program and maintaining a 2.0 GPA at both institutions. Students who complete the academic requirements transition into degree-granting majors through a Change of Major Form, but entering students are not guaranteed entry to a particular college or major in advance. Entry into certain academic majors is competitive based on criteria such as grade point average and prerequisite course completion.
